So, so thrilled to finally be able to share this EP with everyone!
A while ago, @fictionissocialinquiry posted about a No I Love You challenge, where the goal was to write or draw something that conveyed love without using the words ‘I love you’. Where the Water Flows is what happened when I started trying to write songs to fit that brief and then completely spiralled.
Massive thanks are in order for the wonderful, insanely talented artists who committed their time and energy to this over the last few months:
The artwork for the individual songs was done by @hayleynfoster and @favlie, who have had me in fits with how they’ve made the words breathe.
And the cover work and art production (including mock-ups) was done by @doodleladi, whose vision has turned this into something cohesive and beautiful.
I can’t thank these ladies enough for the work they’ve put into this, as well as for all the support they’ve given me throughout the process. Thanks also go to @fictionissocialinquiry and @formerlygoldilocks for helping me stay calm and for listening to my panic-rants when I was trying to figure out how to record all this stuff.
I’m a writer first, and then performer/sound editor/producer come waaaaaaaaay down that list, so apologies for any and all issues with sound quality (recommend listening with headphones), background noise, and exceedingly average guitar-playing. I hope that everyone can enjoy these songs despite the rough-and-readiness of them!

Tentatively, she reached out to touch his chest and his heart freaked out worse as her warmth spread through him more effectively.
“Wow,” she chuckled. “Your heart really is freaking out.”
I was really excited for this prompt cause I immediately knew what I wanted to do. The type of soulmate mark I decided to do is whenever you get injured, flowers appear on the same area on your soulmate’s body
So I did a little comic of Zuko’s agni kai with Ozai with Katara getting flowers on where Zuko’s face got burned. The flowers I chose are eglantine roses which are supposed to symbolize a wound to heal
I just like to think about how confused Katara would be. She would probably get flowers every now and then whenever Zuko gets injured from fire bending practice, but this is different. There’s too many flowers so whatever happened must be serious and she’s getting really worried
Also, think about the first time they saw each other. Zuko arrives at the Southern Watertribe, and Katara sees this boy with a huge scar on his face. Would they even realize they were soulmates? Probably not cause they’re idiots akdhjsksj they’d be in denial for so long I just know it
I also wanted to do something for when Katara’s hands get burned but another comic would have taken too long so I made this little sketch instead
